About ‘I Do’ Your Ceremony
I’m Jackie, an award-winning Celebrant. If you’re planning a life milestone event like a wedding, commitment ceremony, elopement, vow renewal, or baby naming, I’d love to discuss ideas for a bespoke ceremony written especially for you & truly reflective of your style. I’m based near York but cover much of the north of England.
I specialise in engaging with couples to compose a truly personal wedding celebration. There are no restrictions on the content or format of the ceremony, which I perform in any location (indoors or outside) at any time of day, for any size of gathering. Because the legalities are done separately (I can advise on how to do this at minimal cost), I’m not restricted to licensed spaces or approved venues & there are endless possibilities for locations, eg a marquee, pub, garden, tipi, barn, woodland, beauty spot, country house, holiday cottage, beach, ruin - pretty much anywhere with landowner permission! I also perform my highly personalised ceremonies in licensed venues.
Outdoor weddings are a hugely popular choice, bathed in natural light & keeping your loved ones safer.
An accomplished public speaker, I don’t need the inconvenience of a microphone & included in my wedding package is the option of a dressed down walkthrough rehearsal to plan the choreography of your ceremony, enabling you to walk down the aisle smiling, calm & relaxed!
When co-designing a unique wedding, I get to know you as couple so the tone of ceremony perfectly fits your style - traditional, modern, elegant, funny or romantic, with laughter & happy tears. Together we will create a ceremony which tells your unique love story & includes vows, exchange of rings, readings & any symbolic rituals you relate to. We can include elements like words of religious blessing (I’m not a Humanist), a handfasting, a unity candle ceremony, readings, sand ceremony & I can support you with choosing or writing your own vows.

Typical Clients
I provide English-speaking ceremonies that are as diverse as the full range of clients I serve, with no limitations on the location, content, style or start time (subject to landowner permission & not including any discriminatory or offensive content).
As a former Registrar, I have a vast amount of experience in public speaking without the need for a microphone, politely & confidently managing large events & putting people at ease. I’m an accomplished writer, but my typical clients are usually willing to actively contribute to the drafting of their bespoke ceremony with guidance & suggestions provided by me.

Amazing ceremony
