About Richard The Celebrant
Hello, I am delighted that you are considering me as your Celebrant. It would be wonderful if you allowed me to work with you to create and deliver a completely unique, beautiful, and personalised ceremony that will be remembered for all the right reasons. It’ is a privilege to be given the opportunity to be an intrinsic part of such an important event in your life and I’m committed to working hard, giving you unlimited time and attention.
Passionate about my vocation, I work hard to ensure my clients can relax on the day and feel like they are in a safe pair of hands. My style is relaxed, informal but professional and fun.
Initially my priority is getting to know you so I can understand exactly what you want your ceremony to be like. Even if you are not sure yourselves!
I can offer lots of suggestions and after our initial meeting I’ll put together a draft ceremony for us to start with. My style is relaxed, informal but professional and fun.
My aim is to remove any anxieties you might have so you can concentrate on being excited about your day. During the ceremony I will look after, you leaving you free to simply enjoy the occasion.
My training background in presentation skills, public speaking experience and many years as a professional singer, along with background acting experience in Films & TV combine to make me uniquely placed to deliver your ceremony with professionalism, confidence and humour.
I am passionate about my role in your celebration and I look forward to getting to know you.

Amazing experience!
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Richard and meet him! He is such a kind and genuine person. We had lots of fun and cherished wonderful moments during every meeting with him. Richard maintained constant communication with us throughout the entire process.
Additionally, he beautifully printed our vows and our ceremony.
The ceremony itself was truly beautiful. Richard skillfully transformed our story and love into words. He managed to make us both laugh and cry tears of joy, deepening our love even further. Our guests were equally amazed by the beauty of the ceremony.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Richard for everything. Our only regret is that we didn't get to see him to give him a hug and say goodbye!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish!
I can’t even describe how amazing Richard was! From the first point of communication to the actual ceremony Richard made us feel at ease. He asked us exactly what we wanted and kept us up to date and walked us through it to create the most magical day. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. I was so nervous but it was perfect. If your looking for a personal, relaxed ceremony look no further! Richard is amazing and everyone commented on how stunning it was!

What can i say! Richard was amazing - he took the time to get to know us as a couple and we just felt relaxed and very trusting in Richard. We asked and he delivered. He is so genuine and kind, so pleased to share our biggest day of our lives with him. Highly recommend.

Beautiful service
Richard performed a blessing and handfasting service for us at our secret wedding. Everything was planned and went off brilliantly. Richard gave a fabulous service.
Richard is a wonderful celebrant.
We had Richard Wood as our celebrant for our barn wedding. He wrote and read out a wonderful little piece about how my husband and I got together. He wrote beautiful vows for us and selected a wonderful reading for our Aunty to read.
Richard arrived early, got us all organised and delivered the whole ceremony efficiently and beautifully. He is such a lovely person, nothing was too much trouble.
Richard looked very smart, immaculate and very dapper. He got the whole wedding party revved-up, involved and motivated.
If you are looking for a celebrant, don’t go to anyone else, book Richard Wood, and you will have a great ceremony.

Richard was possibly our favourite person to work with in the lead up to the wedding. He was friendly, personable and very responsive to all our last minute questions.
At the alter he had a way of just making us both feel so much more calm and confident. He was humorous in all the right places and wrote the most beautiful script for the ceremony, taking into account all of our quirky additions. He's very thorough and made sure he had everything right so there were no surprises on the day. We would highly recommend Richard as a wedding celebrant - couldn't fault him at all. He was amazing!

Richard made our special day one to remember for the rest of our lives, from initial contact to the wedding day, communication was perfect.
Richards planning and attention to detail of the ceremony was second to none, he captivated the guests and made them all feel involved in our big day.
He expertly tailor made the ceremony, to share our story with the wedding guests and he did so beautifully.

Richard was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He was very quick to reply and accommodating for everything we wanted. On the day he was great at noticing how nervous I was so fed me the vows more slowly than he did with my husband. I would highly recommend Richard to any couple wanting to have a personal, thoughtful ceremony. Especially if you aren’t particularly creative yourself as Richard was very happen to create a ceremony with minimal direction from us!
