Eat Food Love Food are a bespoke catering service based in Sussex. With a community-centric attitude to their cooking such as using local ingredients and locally baked bread, Eat Food Love Food bring local tastes to events of all sizes both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor cooking is cooked on charcoal which adds a visual as well as taste element to the catering.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote we first need to know the date, location, venue and number of guests attending. We also need to know your preference as to the style of event; would you like a buffet, barbecue or maybe a hog roast? Lastly an idea of your budget is always helpful.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The advice I would give to customers seeking a caterer is: Firstly confirm that the caterer has the expertise to provide the type of catering you require; secondly that they are polite and patient (you don't want a grumpy caterer); finally that they provide a quality service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Eat Food Love Food really describes what we are and what we do. I am a foodie. Quite frankly I am obsessed with the subject. I get a real thrill cooking and serving high quality food to our clients. I count myself lucky to have a job which I enjoy so much that also gives pleasure to other people.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I only joined up with Add to Event in the New Year and most of the many bookings I have received are for the summer. The two I have completed were quite different. One was making canapes for a cocktail party - they seemed really pleased. The other was catering a lunchtime buffet for a government department and they have already asked us to quote directly on another event.

I have met with several of the customers we are going to cater for in the summer and I feel certain that their parties will also be a great success. I do try and meet with clients prior to the event.

Add to Event has provided me with some excellent bookings and I have recommended it to other friends in associated industries.
