What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
When you are organising your event and you need to hire either an outdoor festival stage, sound or lighting or maybe its a dance floor you're looking for there are some key bits of information that we will require from you to give you a comprehensive and detailed quote. Some of these details we will need to include the date of the event, the potential venue where you're planning your event or festival if the event is indoors or outdoors and if there are any particular requirements you have i.e the look, feel or design of what you are trying to achieve.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When you're looking for a wedding planner an event planner or maybe you're just looking for a company that can supply your stag,e sound and lighting for your outdoor festival or conference production... with any service you should always take the time to check the company's background reputation, reviews and how well established that company is & if the area of expertise they say they have is proven. It is very easy to look like a trusted & reliable supplier online but we always advise getting at least 3 or 4 references from any companies you're planning on dealing with. We are registered and trusted event production supplier with both our local Surrey and Hampshire and London local councils we are also the technical and production team for a number of the prestigious Cambridge May Ball events.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Our company started back over 18 years ago where a passion for audio and high-end hi-fi was a major part of our lives, mix this with a passion for business & growth plus some very hard-working members of our business and what you have 18 years later a trusted, reputable sound, lighting and stage hire company. After the first 5 years, we quickly realised that just being a sound hire company wasn't enough & we quickly found that's our customers wanted us to supply them not just the sound & lighting but everything else from the dance floors, lasers, draping and of course the outdoor staging. This has meant a slow but progressive growth making sure we learnt along the way all the necessary skills to allow us to manage and run the smallest to the largest of productions.

Add to Event is an amazing platform where you can quickly acquire a number of quotes from a vast amount of suppliers all across the UK what this platform does is allows potential customers to individually review and assess each supplier for their merits. We have found Add to Event a great platform to advertise a business, to grow a business and to make sure the events industry continues to have quality high-end sound lighting and staging suppliers. Recently we received what at first seem to be a simple request for a projector, screen & sound system for a conference but after talking with the potential client it became apparent that the job was larger than they first thought. We put together a comprehensive quote to design the conference set staging and to liaise with a filming company to make sure the product launch met all the requirements that they needed to fulfil when it came to their clients and their corporate sponsors. If it wasn't for the Add to Event platform maybe the event would have been undertaken without the care and attention that we offered and this is only a positive in our eyes.
