What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a client, we need the following details:
Date
Location/Venue
Budget
Type of event (e.g. baby shower, bridal shower, christening etc)
Ideal colours or themes
A brief of what type of decoration you would like (e.g. balloon arch, sequi wall, moongate hoop etc)

Once we have this, we can give a detailed quote and provide sample pictures to suit the request.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise being as clear as possible with your request to give the provider the best chance of providing a clear quote. I would also provide a contact number as it can be much easier to articulate what you want with a phone call and agree something with the provider.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Jewels Events was born out of my passion and love for planning celebration events for family and friends. After many years of encouragement from family and friends, I decided to take a leap of faith to launch Jewel Events in July 2021 and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I love seeing clients' faces once we have finished setting up. It is priceless and makes all the hard work and effort worthwhile!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

If I had to pick one booking, it would be for a corporate event (product launch) for Comdata based in London.

I provided decorations for the event - a 10 ft balloon arch in unique brand colours and balloon bouquets. This was an exciting time for the team and I was proud to be a part of an amazing launch.
