Based in Chorley, Cherish Wedding Services provides balloon modelling services for all events. Catering for all themes with a huge range of balloons (from confetti balloons to feather balloons), they have been operating since 2009.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, potential venue, whether it is an indoor or outdoor event, possibly a theme or colour scheme to their event and possibly a rough budget. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would make sure that your provider has public liability insurance. As a professional face painter and balloon artist, I have seen face painters and balloon artists arrive at events who have just started out and do not realise that they need insurance. Can they provide a risk assessment? Always cover your back for safety reasons.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Create and Cherish Events and Balloons was founded in 2009 with Kirstin the owner becoming a face painter and balloon modeller to follow her artist flow. Parents at parties used to ask if helium balloons could be provided for their parties too. Since then, Kirstin has become a member of NABAS - the balloon association and Qualatex the Balloon Network. As a company, we strive to provide you with the best balloons, balloon decor and artistic face painting.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We recently worked with the Cat's Protection Charity. It was a lovely job based in Bolton. Add to Event made the booking so easy. The organiser and I were in contact immediately after quotation and kept in contact right through to attending the event. The feedback from the customer and people attending the event were amazing and I hope we keep in contact for their next booking.
