What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote for you I require the event date, location, timings, and type of event you're hosting. Any information in addition to this is always a bonus i.e. the number of guests (and age range), the type of music you like, the type of DJ you're looking for, any particular colours, lights or add-ons you've been thinking about.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the DJ to listen to some of their past mixes, and to see clips of previous nights they've DJ'd at. Look at as many reviews as possible (Facebook/Google/Trustpilot/Word of Mouth). Find out exactly what they're providing for the price they have quoted (i.e. picture of their rig).
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Feel The Funk Disco after spending several years in and around Bristol DJ'in in nightclubs and bars. During that time, I DJ'd a huge variety of genres of music (Hip Hop, RnB, UK Garage, House, Trance, Drum & Bass, Disco & Funk, Motown, Pop, Dancehall, and so much more). This lends itself to weddings, as more often than not, the DJ is catering for a wide variety of ages and musical tastes. I really do enjoy mixing all sorts of music!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Using this platform is really easy to use. The wedding of my most recent couple who I found on this platform was a huge success. They were incredibly impressed with the service I offered, and their guests were of the same opinion. I couldn't have asked for better feedback in all honesty!
