What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
What we need from the organiser to provide a comprehensive quote is.
1. The date of the planned event.
2. What the event is for.
3. Times we would be needed to be in attendance.
4. Location of the planned event.
5. Services that are required. ie, Disco, Karaoke, Photo Booth, Love letters or Numbers.
6. Is the event indoors or Outdoors, undercover or open to the elements ?.
We can then assess all these factors and give you a bespoke quote for your event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly I would advise you find out how long your chosen supplier has been trading, from that you can tell their experience in their chosen field and gauge their experience.
Secondly always ask lots of questions, as they should have lots of answers for many scenarios, as they should have been through many of the situations you will be asking about, and if they haven't actually come across your situation they should know how to get around most situations with their experience or have an alternate idea to help you.
Thirdly do they have all the cover you and your chosen venue need, Insurance, Public Liability etc, is their equipment professional and do they have backup just in case, do they have all the angles covered in case of emergency or illness, always best to check everything.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Sharpsoundz was started because I went to a very poor quiz night, the host arrived, started the quiz, got to the end of the questions, and found he didn't have the answers, that was it, I took over the quiz and I haven't looked back.
I started looking for business, I went around the hotels in Bournemouth, and found a great hotel who trusted me to do a good job for them and their customers and my journey with The Miramar in Bournemouth began and I am still working there now.
We look after people and love to know what they want, our job is to give them the night they want, and the best way to achieve this is to listen to them, and learn what they expect and would like to hear and their event.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am fairly new to Add to Event, but the bookings I have had have all been good. and I am looking forward to more as time goes by.
This platform puts me out to a large amount of people, from the surrounding area and gives me the chance to spread my name.
I look forward to working with this platform more frequently as my profile grows.
