What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide a potential customer with an accurate quote, we ask them to give us as much information about the event as they can! Ideally, we like to know; the event date, a brief explanation of what type of event they are organising, how many guests they're expecting, how many hours they'd like the DJ/Musician for and also what equipment they would need us to supply! Once we know this, we provide the customer with a bespoke package tailored to their needs and requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Are you familiar with the little expression you get what you pay for? Cheap doesn't mean best, so always do your research on a provider. Check past reviews, even ask to listen to mixtapes if it's a DJ that you're booking. It all depends on what you want. You need to check that the provider is the right fit for you/.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started Beatmatch Events as a means to provide customers with bespoke Wedding and Party packages.
I've been to weddings/private parties where the DJ looks bored and completely out of touch with the bride, groom and their guests and his/her equipment looks like it's been taken on a few too many jobs! It doesn't have to be like this! …
We treat every client as an individual - so it's no to set playlists and hello to unique parties tailored to their requirements and music tastes!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I'm fairly new to Add to Event. I have my first booking coming up on 8th August, which is a Hacienda classics wedding! I had a chat to the bride and groom over the phone to check I was the right fit for them.. you only get married once so it's important that the DJ you book is matched to your tastes. They've got a band playing before me, and the party is being held in a big marquee in their back garden.. fingers crossed for good weather!
