What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I need to know the date, time and location of the event. The footfall, age of guests, any theme and very importantly, access and parking. I also need to know if the event is indoors or outside.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask about the length of time in business, what products they use and the hygiene standards that they have. I would also want to know about the level of their insurance.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started working in the theatre in the wardrobe dept, where I also helped with stage makeup and wigs. I have a background in the arts and have always been creative, so after having children and being roped into face painting for school activities, I found it to be a great creative outlet for me and something that I could make into a business.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had many and varied bookings through Add to Event and I would thoroughly recommend them. I guess the one that stands out, was an evening event for a brewery. It was a festival style party for the employees and it went down a storm; we painted and glittered the guests all evening and everyone had a fantastic time.
