What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The first couple of things we need to know are: where the event is and the type of event. Next, it's the number of guests this is for and if there are any special dietary requirements. Finally, payment method, budget spend per head and the type of venue that the event is to be held in and the timings of the event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a provider, the best thing to do is check out the profile page, the website and reviews, this will tell you about how far the provider has gone to try to sell their product. Then ask about the process or procedure for the day of the event, this will give you an idea of how professionally run the event will be run. Ask the price and if this includes everything, with no extras on top. How many staff might attend the event and what type of equipment or vehicles might attend? Also, ask about whether they are registered with the local authority and their food hygiene rating.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started our business as we wanted to provide quality catering the way that we would want to receive it at events. We wanted to give our customers whatever they wanted and required, without restricting them. It is not always about the budget that the customer has, because even the smallest of budgets can be accommodated for.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We would definitely recommend Add to Event to others as it has been a good source for business, plus developing the profile of the business and gathering feedback. All of the clients that we have had through Add to Event have been quality customers!
We can think of many that have gone very well; in fact pretty much all of them; as the reviews show! We have catered for private parties, right up to kids obstacle festivals. One that we do remember well is an Army event where they were celebrating William & Kates Wedding. It was originally booked for 100-150 however we did over 380 servings in 2 hours and with only one person serving!
If we are already booked when we get calls, we always refer the customers to Add to Event!
