What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Each booking is very different and I would need more in depth details for a wedding than for a buffet, but a great starting point is a date, time, number of people and a location. Then details of the food they want and their budget. All the confirmed bookings I have had so far have provided a good level of details that invite me to quote and provide an exact figure to the customer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be specific and realistic. Provide me with as much detail as you can and a clear idea on what you want. We are more than happy to help guide you to a great menu but asking for every cuisine available doesn't help me provide a quote. In some instances you are asking for a pop-up restaurant to come and open, don't be surprised when it cost more than your local takeaway!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Monster Foods have been operating since 2009 with a total of 45 years experience just in our management team. We have worked in all aspects of catering from fine dining to running a cafe to the wholesale of sandwiches to hundreds of businesses and petrol stations around the M25, we have literally done it all. The business was set up to provide great quality food at reasonable prices no matter if you are a business looking for a corporate lunch, someone hosting a garden party or a bride and groom arranging their wedding. We all love food and more importantly the feedback from our many returning customers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are still quite new to the Add to Event site, but as a business that is growing we are looking for new lead generators and so far have been really impressed with the number of potential customers and the conversion rate on the jobs we have quoted on. One of our first bookings was for a lovely lady called Katie who was celebrating the christening of her child and wanted a cold buffet for 100 adults and 20 children. After the initial quote on Add to Event we spoke a couple of times and came up with a wide-ranging menu including fruit and cupcakes. We arranged delivery to her venue, laid out all the food and arranged a good time with the venue to then pick up our equipment. All our buffets are served on reusable trays as with the number of buffets we do per year this would usually result in nearly 20,000 single plastic trays being thrown away each year. All the food for her party was freshly prepared the morning of the event so the food they all ate
was the freshest it possibly could be. The customer was very happy with the service and quality of food and left a lovely review for us on Add to Events. I hope we can add many more over the coming months.
