What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Disco lights, bubbles, upbeat music and exciting props throughout! Each party is based on a winning formula but all action songs, dances, games, and general music can be tailored to your child’s age, interests and favourite tunes! We make sure we keep all of the children engaged throughout the 2hr party with our exciting props(pom poms, parachute, ribbon sticks, hula hoops, puppets, instruments, etc), so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the fun!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check how long has the provider been established?
Do they have public liability insurance?
So they have their electrical equipment PAT tested?
Do they have a website with photos of their services?
Do they have genuine Facebook or Google reviews?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Discotots was born out of love of dancing with my toddler! I had taken him to so many groups but often found them a little dull, and wanted to create a funky and upbeat activity that mums and their toddlers could enjoy equally. It wasn’t long before Discotots was in demand for children’s birthday parties (catering for children aged 1 to 8 years), and won the fabulous Netmums award for ‘Best Party Entertainer in Wales’. Being a qualified Occupational Therapist helped me to be able to identify and develop activities to ensure maximum engagement and enjoyment for all. Parents often comment how surprised they are when their little ones (perhaps with additional needs or low confidence), have engaged so well. But it's not just the children themselves who enjoy our parties! I was over the moon the other week when a grandmother approached me at the end of the party - she had thoroughly enjoyed taking part in one of the party dances and said 'That was so much fun! I want to come with you to all your parties!'
