What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We have a set price structure so the quote stays the same for the parties, but we do need to know how long a party you want and which theme you'd like to go for. Sometimes it can be tricky settling on one but we're always happy to help and advise! We also need a venue and timings; I would personally reccomend that you book a venue first before sorting out the entertainment. Finally, we just need to know how many children you're expecting at the party.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always do your research on the entertainers; there is a lot of choice out there, and what is great for one person might not be what you're looking for. Check out their reviews as well as the photos on there; it's a great way of seeing what the parties are like and the reviews will be from parents so they're going to be honest and genuine. Finally, it sounds a bit obvious but remember the age old rule: if it sounds too good to be true (read: too cheap), then it probably is!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started out myself as a party entertainer and realised that I really loved it, but I saw a gap in the market for engaging, interactive parties where children are really encouraged to use their imaginations and have fun! My passion has always been for delivering the best possible parties, and I love that we offer something different and we are now building an incredible reputation as one of the best children's entertainment companies around.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

When I first came across Add to Event, I wasn't sure what it was all about, but having been on it for a couple of months I am so glad I joined! It's a fantastic platform for us to showcase what we do, especially to parents who are out of our standard area: we are currently expanding into Surrey and London, and the majority of bookings in this area have come through Add to Event. One of the most recent bookings we've had was for a superhero party in Cranleigh which went really well, and definitely put us on the map for discerning parents in Surrey!
