What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a useful quote to a customer, we need the first the event date, the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests expected and the venue and if its an indoor or outdoor event. Then we can see what equipment and products are needed.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You need to check the product being offered. Ask about their equipment and if it is a quality brand. I would also check a supplier's reviews as this will give you a good idea if they are reliable.
I also would check if the company works with food that they have all their insurance and health & hygiene certificates.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started Candy Corner by pure accident really. I wanted to save myself some money for my own wedding and decided to start hiring out my candy cart that I had bought for it. I then added a popcorn and candyfloss machine from there and it just started off from that point.
February 2018 another local supplier who did the same as myself but on a bigger scale decided to close down. I ended up buying her chocolate fountains, her beautiful glassware etc and from that point on my business just took off.
My passion has always been to provide a service of excellence and to make sure that every customer is happy and has the most enjoyable experience through booking with ourselves.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am very new to Add to Event but it has been a great experience since I have joined. I have really enjoyed being able to send quotes for so many bookings and have had bookings out of it in my local area and further out.
Our most recent was for a surprise 60th birthday where we provided one of our light up backdrops for a 60th birthday party at a hotel I never even knew existed in Aberdeen. So it is also showing me new places which I have never been to as well, which I love.
