The Cocktail Cartel supply vintage wood mobile beer/spirit/gin/cocktail bars with experienced mixologists, personalised menu design. They also provide event staffing and event planning/management. They are based in Dundee but are more than happy to travel anywhere in Scotland in order to make your day, whatever that may be, even better!

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For The Cocktail Cartel to provide the most comprehensive and accurate quote possible to a future customer, we would ideally we need the following information: event date + time, brief explanation of the event, estimated number of guests attending (and from which how many of these are children), whether or not the bar will be Pre-Paid or a Cash Bar and if the host requires glassware. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable quote and begin planning!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For any customer wanting to hire a provider within their area you must, before all else, ensure that they are professionals in the field that they claim to be in. Ask several questions about the product or service, ask them to provide a detailed quote breakdown and ensure that you ask why they do what they do. There are a few companies, few and far between, that do what they do either because they simply love it or because there is a much higher agenda than money! These are the companies who will always give you 110%.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Cocktail Cartel was started by a group of Hospitality and Catering Veterans who have spent the last 15 years in the industry. Over the course of those 15 years, we have all many highs and many lows however the one constant above all of this is that Hospitality Staff have never been treated particularly well and customers have always been left a little out of pocket. We do what we do to give our members of staff fair employment with living wages/company benefits and to give customers a great experience without the corporate pricing!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I honestly would highly recommend Add to Event. They have propelled our business from Start-Up to Extremely Profitable very quickly and I cannot thank them enough. There is one Event in particular that springs to mind, probably the first come to think about it... We provided a cocktail bar to several young women at a birthday party and it is probably the most fun we have ever had working! It was so brilliantly easy to organise through the messenger and all the details I needed were right in front of me thanks to their great layout and design. The Calendar is by far the best tool however as it keeps track of everything for you.
