What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We need to know the date, venue and type of event they are organising and whether it is corporate or non-business orientated, to assist us in providing suggestions, or a personalised quotation based on the customer’s requirements. We also need to know the approximate number of guests and the types of cocktails and services they are likely to require. Finally, we would need to be advised of the venue, start time and the duration that our services will be needed.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Although the price is important, it is not always indicative of the service a customer will receive. We would suggest that customers look at what they require in terms of overall service, personalisation, cocktail experience, the range of products, presentation and the quality of the ingredients used in our cocktails. They can always find somebody cheaper, but at the end of the day, we would advise them to look at the reliability, track record and drinks quality that we provide in comparison to our competitors. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having worked in high-end bars in Europe and America for many years, I developed an instinct for mixing colourful, mouth-watering cocktails to satisfy individual preferences. Upon arriving in the UK, I discovered there was a niche in the beverage market for developing a mobile bespoke cocktail service. The corporate market (product launches, conferences, staff parties etc.) offered vast opportunities to deliver clients with a personalised bar experience that delivered freshly made drinks that are cool and exciting and broke with tradition. Equally, I identified a growing trend in individuals that were seeking an element of fun and sophistication that is associated with cocktail drinking. I built a team of expert mixologists that would create stunning cocktails while also providing a little slick entertainment at private functions such as weddings, garden parties and similar gatherings. ProCocktails was formed to offer bespoke cocktail service, with experienced mixologists, skilled in the art of mixing exceptional beverages from high-grade spirits and fresh ingredients.
