Jolly Hucksters provides a mobile bar with a fully loaded bar, a fabulous selection of local ale and cider plus a medley of spirits, various wines, fizz and soft drinks. They also work with a local Gin supplier who produces the fabulous Campfire Gin to put together an interesting and unique selection of Gin cocktails for your special event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to provide a comprehensive quote for customers we need to be made aware of guest numbers if the event will be held inside in a local hall or outside in a marquee, for example, this way we can also look into the licensing requirements for the venue as well.
I also like to know early on the customer's favourite tipples so I can incorporate them Into the bar menu.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always check the provider has sufficient insurance in place to cover your event, for example, if you are planning your big day you want to make sure all licensing applications have been put in correctly and cover everything they should.
Secondly, once you have decided on your provided, request a drinks list so you know what prices are being charged to your lovely guests on the day along with the choices they will be supplying. This ensures your guests have plenty of choices and at a fair price.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started the business back in 2005, at the time I ran a quaint little village pub.
I noticed a gap in the market as people were wanting to get married in local halls and in fields but at the time would only really have the option of using their local pub to provide the service.
Over the years the business grew and with a lot of hard work and lessons along the way I have a business I'm very proud of.
I have fantastic relationships with a local Brewery, gin Distillery, caterers and marquee hire company and both recommended and use their products as much as I can.
I love to plan for an event be it a birthday celebration or wedding reception I treat it as if it's my own big day and myself and my team put our heart and soul into every one:)

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is a fantastic platform, you have to be willing to put the time into communicating with customers putting in requests and make sure they have all the information they need to make an executive decision.
If you do this it's very rewarding, the positive feedback you receive is lovely after an event, great to know you have happy customers.

With regards to events I have run, I had one recently which was a Hindu/Sikh pre-wedding celebration.
It was beautiful the amazing dresses, colours, music, singing, dancing and overall just a fantastic family of people.
A complete joy for myself and the team to be part of.
