The Cocktail Van is a beautifully converted vintage ice-cream van available for mobile bar hire, based in the East Midlands, mixing authentic, traditional recipe cocktails from the prohibition era including a fully trained & licensed mixologist for parties, weddings, or festivals. They also offer a Mixology Masterclass for you and your friends to have great fun as you learn how to make your favourite cocktails.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote that fulfils an event organisers' needs, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, including the duration, the estimated number of guests at any particular time and the location.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering went they are offering it. Ask the provider about their menu, we serve traditional cocktails and stay true to their recipes. Also, find out how they can tailor the event to suit your particular requirements.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Cocktail Van was born out of a wealth of experience gained from enjoying the research and drinking of classic, prohibition-era cocktails. We are passionate about our ingredients and the way the drinks are made and garnished. We only stray from tradition in our glasses. These along with our straws are fully biodegradable preventing plastic waste.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a fabulous time at a family birthday party with 65 guests, helping them decide which drink best suited their preference and advising which to try outside of this. The sun was shining and the ice was cold so we were very busy. By the end of the party, we had handfuls of new friends.
