Green Bike Food Company: Electric Coffee Tuk-Tuk provides a sustainable, novel, and mobile professional barista coffee machine, loaded with healthy snacks and delicious freshly baked treats. Available to hire in Reading and the local surrounding area.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

First we'll need to know the date you want to hire, the location you want us to attend, and the duration for the hire. Next, you'll tell us which type of tab you'd like to order - 'Open Tab' orders are pre-paid and we'll serve unlimited coffee for the duration of your event, and 'Closed Tab' means each person pays for their own coffee.
We'll then staff the Tuk-Tuk with one of our trained baristas and serve delicious fresh coffee and snacks at your event!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I'd always recommend talking to the provider beforehand and asking about their service - good providers will be keen to tell you all about their business and what separates them from the rest (for example, I'd chat about our focus on sustainability with locally sourced beans and the electric vehicle fleet).
You'll want someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to coffee - so asking details about where the coffee is sourced from, how fresh the coffee beans are, and learning a little about the different types of coffee on the menu will always be useful.

It's important for a Barista to be friendly and approachable at your event, so getting a feel for whether someone talks with passion about what they're doing will go a long way - if they're enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful on the phone then that'll likely translate in person at your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The origin of Green Bike Food Company stems from a period over the summer of 2020 when co-founder Tom helped run a corporate catering business owned by his father, whilst he fought with illness. From here the idea of Green Bike Food Company was born as a solution to provide nutritious office catering, done sustainably.
The Electric Coffee Tuk-Tuk was designed as a solution to providing hot beverages to clients in an eco-friendly vehicle, whilst arriving in a stylish method. Re-launched in Summer 2022 with a dedicated barista Andy managing the Tuk-Tuk operations, we're working passionately to bring a unique experience and fresh delicious coffee to local events!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We're new to this platform, and look forward to getting in touch with you for casual or corporate events around Reading and Bracknell! A great event we've previously taken the Tuk-Tuk to was Reading Cycle Festival, and we're proud to be invited back there for 2022! It's really fulfilling to share the passion we have for sustainability and environmental awareness throughout our local community - and the Reading Cycle Festival is a brilliant way for us to do this. There were over 250 people who attended the festival, and it was great to see people not only enjoying our hot drinks, but also loving the snacks we offered such as fruit pots, yoghurt pots, and cakes.

Serving coffees and sharing our passion at an event brings 99% of the enjoyment for us, and we're so excited to now feature on Add to Event! We can't wait to chat to you about getting the Tuk-Tuk involved in your future events.
