What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We can quote a price for any event! Let us know; the estimated number of guests, location of the venue, length of service/trading hours, and if you have a 32amp power supply for us to use. These details will allow us to quote for your event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get to know the provider a bit more with a phone call. Test their knowledge of the product they are selling. Make sure they are sincere with their marketing claims, such as using words like sustainable, organic, ethical, artisan, etc. If they truly believe in such words, they should be able to describe to you how their product and service align with these values. Remember you are hiring a person, not just a brand and image, if the owner of the business is the person serving your guests - you know you'll get a whole-hearted service!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My partner and I started this business on the back of our experience in the hospitality industry. We have both worked for over 10 years for hotels, restaurants and tour operators at management level. At the start of the pandemic our employment future was unclear, so we invested in developing this business. 2 years of self-funding and self-building and we have created Natural Rise. We are very serious about serving the best product we can, and we decided to serve coffee and pancakes because we can source many of the raw ingredients (milk, egg, flour and seasonal fruits) from local producers, creating a truly artisan experience for our customers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have 3 bookings coming up soon which we are very excited about. Add to Event seems to be a very useful marketing tool, and it is great that the contact details of the event organisers are available once you make a quote. Unfortunately, we have had a few potential bookings that did not happen due to our power requirements not being met. Our power requirement is quite high so this is a common problem with bookings. We hope to complete our first Add to Event booked event early next month. We certainly think the credit scheme is good value in relation to how much interest we have had. We would certainly recommend Add to Event to other traders and also to event organisers.
