What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to offer a client the best possible quote, ideally I will need the event location and date, a description of what type of party the client is hosting, what genre of music the client requires and if the venue is indoors or outdoors also what hours the client requires the DJ setup for, With all this information I can offer the client the best and competitive quote available.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the provider is clear on the venue dates and genres of music, also make sure they have the relevant music knowledge. music is the soul to a great party, bad music equals sad people and no one dancing on your dance floor :)

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my own DJ service as from a very young age I have always loved music, I started mixing music at the age of about 13 and have not stopped since, doing something you enjoy is not work its a hobby for me and I enjoy seeing other people enjoy my music whilst doing a party/gig.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

What can I say I wish I had found this site earlier, the bookings I have been getting from Add to Event have been incredible. I enjoy DJing at all venues and parties but the best has to be Steve's short notice booking. He booked me a couple of days before the actual party as his DJ had cancelled. I turned up on the day and had all age groups dancing from 5 - 80 that made me feel so happy, Steve was very grateful for my service and has been recommending me to all his family and friends
