What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a competitive quote the first thing that I need to know is obviously the date to see if I am available and of course the price for a party in January will be cheaper than one in August.

The booking hours required and amount of guests so that I can supply a suitable sound and lighting package.
Lastly the potential venue so that I know how far I have to travel from my base.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask your potential provider as many questions as you like as most DJs will happily answer all of your questions.

You can ask them about their experience of parties that they have done similar to yours , exactly what they will be bringing on the night in terms of equipment.

Read all their reviews on Add to Event, Facebook or Google that are all credible and can be verified.
Lastly if possible try to arrange a meeting with the supplier so that you can discuss all the finer points.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Premier DJ Entertainment was born in 1998 prior to that I was a nightclub DJ .
I became bored in nightclubs played the same kind of music week in week out as in a nightclub there is usually a one or two genre music policy.
One of my friends asked me to play at his wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed playing the music to the varied age groups of guests and that was when I decided to become a mobile DJ .
It made a refreshing change as one night I might be playing to a crowd of 50 year olds and the next to one full of 21 year olds.
20 years later I am still enjoying every event that I play at!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a lot of bookings through this platform.
I have used other platforms in the past but Add to Event is by far the best .
I have done many events from this platform but my favourite was a joint 40th Birthday party at the Little Channels Estate near Chelmsford in Essex it was an awesome party with no expense spared. I just had a full dance floor from the beginning of the night right to the end and even then they all wanted more.
I just wish all parties were like that one!
