What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a customer with the best possible quote, we would require details such as: the name of the venue, the date of the event, the event type, number of guests, time event is to run from and until, access to event times, (for set up and take down of equipment), any additional extras the customer may be looking for and the name of the event organiser.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise customers to check suppliers reviews, as this is a key way of finding out how the provider operates. Check what insurance they have and if they have the correct electrical equipment.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

A&J Entertainments was started due to my 20 years + DJ'ing experience from working all over Europe. Having been to a few friends parties, I was not that impressed with the services that I saw, so having ran a small mobile disco business with a friend I decided to start up A&J Entertainments along with my wife. We have since grown the business to the point it is now - a full time job for me and part time for my wife. I wanted to offer my experience as a DJ, along with my knowledge of entertainment to customers and help to create a truly memorable night for them.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Since joining Add to Event, I have increased my enquiries substantially and this has turned into more confirmed bookings. I have recommended this company to my sister, who joined and runs a photo booth business up in the Midlands and she has also seen a increase in confirmed bookings.
