What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide an accurate quote, we would need to know the type of event, date of event, location of event, estimated number of guests and a guide to whether sides or extras are required. With this complete information, we are much better placed to tailor things to a customers requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the provider about their menu and what other options are available, as some people may prefer another choice other than fish. I would ask how long it would take to serve the number of guests expected at their event. I would also ask the provider about their food hygiene ratings and what insurance they have.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Howe & Co 66 came about after several family members worked in the industry and saw a great opportunity to start a franchise. They wanted to bring the enjoyment of traditional British Fish & Chips to more people. The teams passion is to provide top quality service and products, and make any event one to remember for the client.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would have to say a charity fundraising event for Blakes 7 enthusiasts. We served 120 people and had numerous compliments about our food! We also gained a 5* Add to Event rating from the organiser. It was a fun day to be involved with, and we had lots of people who were in Blakes 7 costume which really added to the atmosphere. Add to Event seems to be becoming more and more popular and I think it is a great platform on which to list your business.
