What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quote, we ideally need the date, amount of people we will be serving and we need to know if there is power available on site. It would also be good to know if the event is indoors or outdoors.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the caterer why they are serving what they are serving. Ask where they get their produce from and how long they have been in the business. Once you've received a quote, it is also important to check their website and their social media presence.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are a young couple who wanted to work for ourselves and have worked in catering for a lot of years. My family used to run a hotel but sold it a few years ago, so I knew exactly what was needed to start a successful business. We felt there was a gap in the market for a quality fish and chip van for events. We also just fell in love with Citroen HY vans and had to do it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is amazing. We have had lots of bookings and interest through this platform. A few weeks ago, we attended a corporate event and served 107 people. Everyone was raving about our service and were told we would certainly be back.
