What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

There are three key pieces of information we need to know from you:
1) The date - we want to make sure we are available to provide our expert service to you,
2) The location - depending on the destination we may need to charge accordingly to cover any extra staff and fuel costs,
3) The number of tables - this will determine the main costing for you. If you are unsure of how many tables you need, I am more than happy to help. Generally, I would suggest one table for every 50-75 guests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, look at the number of guests you are looking to invite or sell tickets too; some venues may not be able to cater for that many guests or the room may be too big for the small numbered events.

Next, think about the timings of the event, is it a function where you need everything set up before you use us; for example a corporate event where you are having a formal sit down meal and want everything in place before your guests arrive. This is no problem, but the quote will have to be slightly adjusted to cover for the extra waiting around time of my croupiers.

Make sure the company provides professional croupiers who are right for the job you need. If you are running a 21st birthday party, then you really do not want a miserable croupier who would rather not be there. You want a fun lively person to have friendly banter with.

Experience - I have been running a fun casino business for over 15 years and I have wealth of contact and service many events. You may have issues with start-up companies that only have 2 or 3 tables. They don't have the same number of contacts for croupiers' and if one of them let you down on the night, they may struggle to find a replacement. I started out with inflatables (bouncy castles), but as you can imagine this is very seasonal and I looked to expand into something else. I enjoyed the casino and saw them at an event and thought if the croupiers were more interactive - this is the perfect way to entertain guests for any event - Yes I have even provided a roulette table for a wake!!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well, one of the latest bookings through Add to Event was for Christmas Party night. They were unsure of to run the casino tables for their event. After speaking with them directly on the phone (I would always recommend do that), I was obvious to me that they were in the wrong venue (too small for the number guests), so I mentioned a few other venues that I had been to in that area. I also went through the running order of the night with them.

I used to run a entertainments agency and they also asked me to source a photo booth and close-up magician too. They were very happy that they got in touch with me. Needless to say, the event went really well.
