What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It’s always a great start to let us know the event date as availability is key haha!
A great quote includes location of the event, time of hire and type of event.
It’s always great to receive additional information such as estimated guest numbers or whether the venue has any restrictions lift no parking etc. The more comprehensive the quote is the less questions that need to go back to you and the quicker you receive an accurate quote. It’s quite simple really, everything that you need to know to plan the event is what we need to know to be there!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I believe it’s good to call around if your time permits. You can always get a feel from the supplier who is going to provide you with the service you require based on that initial phone call. You can look at the best-made website or interactive Instagram account but it doesn’t mean the person behind the show will be best suited for your event.
Equally, by calling a supplier you get live information about offers or other services which can be offered.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My business started when I was made redundant from my permanent employment during the covid period. I wanted to work in a role that provided flexibility for my family life but also gave me satisfaction with the smiles that I’d put on faces. What else puts a smile on someone’s face than fresh warm popcorn and ice-cold slush on a hot day?

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I received a booking local to my home for a local pub which I have heard of but never attended. Add to Event not only gave us the opportunity to work together as they selected me for an event but it has created a lasting relationship as I am now their preferred supplier for all their fun food needs. They didn’t even know I was on their doorstep.
