Hetty Events provides a mobile bar and coffee outlet for use at private and corporate events, based in Windsor. "Hetty" is a traditional, converted horsebox. They have some great tips on hiring a mobile bar to share as well as their story to read below.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we'd ideally need to understand the location and event date together with a bit of an explanation around the type of event and the estimated number of guests. It's also useful to understand whether there is a power & water supply at the venue along with whether there are any space constraints to be aware of. Finally, it also helps to understand whether there are any specifics such as types of drinks that the organiser wants for the event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get a full understanding of the products that the provider is offering and why they are offering those particular products. If you have your own preferences on certain products be clear upfront and look for a provider that has the flexibility to meet your needs, it is your event after all. Also, check that all costs are fully included within any quotation - I've come across many with additional charges that they aren't upfront about.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hetty Events came to life through my husband and I planning our own wedding. We were looking for a similar offering to Hetty but found limited availability and where there was availability, the options on offer were either expensive or inflexible.
We saw this as an opportunity to build a family business, with quality service at its heart and a focus on going that extra yard to ensure that our customers really have the day or event that they hope for.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We joined the platform at the beginning of the year and have had a positive impression of the platform since Day One. All of the bookings we've had so far through the platform have gone extremely well but if I had to pick one it would be providing the drinks at a Charity Cycle event. The event itself was fantastically run and there was a fantastic atmosphere amongst the competitors. We loved the event because the charity shared the same values as us and as a positive managed to pick up another charity event with a separate organisation off the back of the event and can hopefully build a lasting relationship with both customers moving forward.
We'd absolutely recommend Add to Event, it's a great platform for small providers to access events and I've recommended the site to friends who have used the platform to arrange their own events.
