What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to create a competitive quote for the customer, we would need some important information. This includes, the start and end date of the event, the event location, whether it is an outdoor or indoor event, a brief explanation of the type of event, estimated number of guests and what type of package they will be looking to hire from us.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

After sending overall information for the event, I would ask the supplier what type of packages they offer and which they think will best suit the event from their past experiences. Most importantly I would ask the supplier what they need from me as the customer to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event, for example, if they need a power/water supply, how the accessibility is (a very important factor in hiring a mobile bar the size of a horsebox trailer when the event is in a back garden may be an issue)!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Named after its owners, Morris and Jones, the idea of MoJo's Box Bar was born around a pub table in the middle of Ledbury during a family weekend away. With us both having experience in the hospitality industry, and being huge social people, the idea of creating a mobile bar business to be a part of weddings, festivals, birthdays, markets etc was really appealing to us.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are only in our first year but have already been a part of so many great events. If we had to pick one it would be one of our most recent events, through Add to Event we were selected to be a part of a very special day to help celebrate the life of a special man. The event took us to Hertford where we were used as a dry hire package, in this case, the event organiser supplied all the drinks, ice and fruit and we supplied the vessel to serve from (our horsebox mobile bar) as well as two bar staff. The event was a great success with the customer overwhelmed with the rest of the day and would be more than happy to use us again. I would 100% recommend Add to Event to other suppliers and also people looking for suppliers for their special events. It's nice for our business to grow and expand alongside the Add to Event website.
