What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally we would require a few select pieces of information. Event date, type, location and number of guests are essential. It is also useful for us to know whether there are guests with any known allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements so we can tailor our handmade Ice Creams to your specific needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There is so much variation between ice cream providers. Please ask what type of ice cream they provide and where it is supplied from. Ask about the ingredients that are used, you want to make sure that you are getting a quality product for your special event. Take time to examine photographs of the supplied product to see if it fits with your expectations, and if possible look for references or reviews of the company.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hill Farm Ice Cream began as a hobby which following encouragement from family and friends (that this was the best ice cream they had ever eaten), has been built up into Hill Farm Ice Cream. We hand make delicious ice creams, using eggs from our own flock of happy hens, real fruit and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. We always aim for our ice creams to be not only delicious to eat, but beautiful to look at.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We recently attended a fantastic birthday party, where party go-ers were able to eat as much ice cream as they wanted to! We had many people return several times and even added some extra flavours at the last minute. Our reviews were amazing, in fact, I cannot remember ever having a bad review! We were recommended to a number of individuals based on this event, and have even been approached by large event organiser to see if we would be available to cater some of their regional events!
