What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need the event date (its also handy to know if there is any flexibility on this), number of guests, the location, if power is avaliable. This one is key as we need the power to operate if no power if available it is possible for us to arrange a generator power this comes at an additional cost. The more information the better.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be specific as you can with your request, for example for ice cream Add to Event gives you the option soft scoop, lollies, Mr Whippy etc, this is really helpful as we know if someone is looking for soft scoop there isn't much point providing a quote as it's not what they are looking for.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Coolercabs is a brand new, unique mobile ice cream operator. We launched in August 2018 and have had a great start with some fantastic clients. Founded by a young couple with a love for ice cream and more importantly their 3-year-old daughter, who from a young age played happily for hours pretending to make and sell ice cream to all she met, from kids in the park to family and friends on visits. This passion, coupled with our entrepreneurial tenancies led to embark on this exciting journey.

Our aim is to bring customers a fresh take on a traditional 99 and ice cream sundaes. Forget old-fashioned Knickerbocker Glories, artificial sauces, canned whipped cream or soggy wafers, we offer delicious soft-serve ice cream and sundaes all served out of the roof of a traditional black London taxi. 

We offer a carefully curated ice-cream menu featuring top-quality, premium ingredients.  Customers can choose from classic cones which comes complete with sauce and a twist on the traditional flake, or choose from a range of signature sundaes, all of which are distinctively delicious.  Highlights include the dreamy ‘The Hollywood’, which features popcorn, popping candy, chocolate chunks, sea salt, and topped with salted caramel sauce.

We have had lots of bookings through Add to Event and would definitely recommend, there is such a diversity of clients and suppliers and has really specific criteria to make it as easy as possible for both sides. We have worked with a number of top hotels, done a world championship tournament, school fun days and many more.
