What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a quote, I require only a few basics. The date, time and location is key - followed by what kind of event I will be adding my magic to and then the planned number of guests and age ranges. Following this, I am always happy to engage in further discussions to fine-tune my service.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would highly recommend reading their reviews. Ask them what kind of magic they will perform - a lot of magicians tend to perform mostly card tricks, where I offer a wide range of routines. What evidence is there of previous clients, and who are they? How clear are they being in their communications, and how well do you feel they understand your specific requirements?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Ever since I was a small child I was always fascinated by magic - it has always been with me as a hobby. Over the years I enjoyed sharing this passion with others, which lead to me accepting bookings and beginning to grow my business. I get a real thrill in being able to bring this unique form of entertainment to complete strangers who have never really experienced it before across events of all sizes.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I can't pick just one - and Add to Event have helped me find lots of bookings - however, I would choose to focus on the wide range of clients who have booked me. From small private family parties to weddings and through to large corporate events. I never know what the next enquiry will be - and as a supplier, that is very exciting. I get to meet a lot of wonderful people (both clients and their event guests) and visit some incredible venues across Scotland.
