What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

As a professional business offering a professional service, we need to know, the type of event, the date of the event in order to check our availability. If it is indoor or outdoor and is water and electricity within 50m of the proposed site. In addition, if you require a licensed event we need to know how many will be in attendance, will there be children attending, if so what are the numbers of 2-17 yr olds?
During Covid19 Regulations we require to ask, what are the toilet provisions?
If hiring one of our inflatable pubs, do you require seating? if so how many?
In all circumstances, we need to know about the space available to us along with access information.
We appreciate this may sound like a lot of information, however in order to ensure your event goes as smoothly as possible we really need this.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would imagine that you would be looking at other suppliers, after all, you wouldn't make a major purchase without comparing products and prices. So for example you may want to compare what is being provided, in our case when we supply a bar service, all of our staff are fully trained in all aspects of customer service and licensing rules/laws. We are personal licence holders which means we can operate a bar legally without the fear of it being closed down mid function.
What is the quality of the product on offer? For example, all of our inflatable bars are manufactured to the highest standard and carry the BSI manufacturing standard, They are sturdy and in some cases double-lined to ensure your comfort.
We are inundated with enquiries where people have been let down, in one case a customer called us on Friday panicking because she had chosen an alternative cheaper supplier, who then let her down with less than 24 hrs. notice. luckily we had availability and were able to come to the rescue, you may want to look at their reviews online.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started out in 2017 after seeing a converted horse box turned gin bar, and thought what a great idea, I have been involved in the licensed / entertainment business for over 20 years, My business partner has a love of Smart Cars and he came up with the idea of converting to a Smart Car to a Gin Bar, hence Smart Car Bar was born, It was very successful and we were growing the business and found inflatable bars were becoming popular, in the inflatable hire market, but there was one thing missing, none of them offered an option to also provide a fully licensed bar including draught (Keg) beers. We saw a big gap in the market and started to offer a licensed bar service in early 2021, Since that time we have grown both our stock of bars and our staff numbers. Currently we are booking functions up to 2023. We don't pay for expensive advertising most of our business comes via social media and referrals from previous clients.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only recently joined Add to Event, and whilst we have secured many bookings we have not physically catered for these events yet. However, I would add that the few events we have secured, our customers have been really been impressed by our attention to detail. For example, we always visit the site to make sure we have the necessary space, access and power requirements. We discuss and exchange ideas with the customer from the ideal location to site our bar down to the drinks menu to be offered. Indeed 1 customer asked if we stocked a certain brand of Rum we had never come across, We sourced it and now have it on her menu of drinks available for her function on June 21. Our Facebook page will tell you of our customer reaction which is 5* We stick to what we know and don't diversify, for example in one upcoming event we have recommended a company providing children's entertainment, who is currently an Add to Event supplier so we will work in conjunction with them to pull off a spectacular event
