What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote Boston & Co ideally need a date, timings, the capacity/number of guests, the type of event and whether its an indoor or outdoor event. It can also help if there is an indication of whether the event is corporate or private and if there is a license in place to sell alcohol.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the company to show me a list of drinks they serve and the potential for them to model there product range around my event, this will also be a test to see if they have a good knowledge of the product they are selling. Also, find out about the equipment they are using and how it would cope with the capacity of your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Boston & Co started out after attending various weddings with a very poor service, where the drinks were outdated with a poor selection of beverages as well as undertrained staff. We thought there is no reason why an events bar can't accommodates drinkers in the same way a high street bar can, even in the middle of a field. So we created exactly that! A mobile bar business with bespoke menus and varying drinks from venue to venue.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There has been a plethora of bookings through this platform, it makes it easier to get in contact with customers. We have served at weddings, 18 - 70 year old birthday parties and more. Add to Event I am sure has a bright future ahead of it, as does Boston & Co.
