What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would need the day and time and number of guests, the type of food that they wish to eat as 120 of one thing doesn't cost the same as 120 of another, its also a good idea to know if lots of dietary requirements will be necessary as again this can hugely affect the cost as multiple extra dishes may need to be created.
It's very helpful to know if power and water will be provided and if so if it's free or if not what the cost would be.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't just go for the cheapest offer because if it is too good to be true, then it probably is.
"Good food is not cheap food, cheap food is not good"

Find out whereabouts the client sources their products, for example, I wouldn't want to be served battery farmed eggs and cash & carry steaks.
Be specific about your requirements so that you don't waste suppliers' time.

Find out if the supplier makes things fresh or buys things in.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business because creating top quality 100% fresh amazing food makes me really excited and I love the sense of reward when someone eats your food and is so happy with it.
I also started because I realised I was working very hard for someone else when I could be working very hard for myself.
And was tired of being made to cut corners for greedy businesses who only cared about how much money could be made rather than how something they sold could make an imprint on someone.
I love knowing that by what I do with food I can make someone remember me, possibly forever, that's a great feeling.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We got an amazing booking at the open air screening of the world's greatest showman at Hampton Court Palace.
In 3 hours we sold 500 gourmet burgers and everyone loved the food, we sold out of sweet potato and house fries and managed to line our pockets pretty nicely.
Somehow my awesome team kept up and when the fire was over we all sat down and the end looked at each other and said well that was mad and it really was and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Nearly all my work at the moment is through Add to Event and it has been whats helped me get up and running and making money.
