What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To give an organiser the best quote I need the date, DJ set time, venue, audience size, the purpose of the event and to know if the event is indoors or outdoors. With these details, I can suggest what equipment would be most suitable for the event. I can then factor in set-up time and any other logistics required.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Let the DJ know what you're expectations of your event and the ambience or vibe you're going for. Look for reviews and footage of their previous work. I would also strongly advise letting a DJ know what type of music you require for the event. It can be assumed every DJ knows every song to ever exist but that is not the case. A DJ is only as good as their knowledge of music.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started DJing as I'm passionate about music and the way it communicates with people. Music has the power to bring people together. It has the power to release stress. It makes people want to express themselves. Every time I DJ, I bring that experience to someone. It's the best feeling!
