North West Roadshow
North West Roadshow provide mobile discos and karaoke roadshows throughout Merseyside and beyond. With an array of state of the art lighting and equipment which is delivered and set up by the experienced DJ, North West Roadshow can bring an entire party to bear at any event, ranging from private parties to weddings. In addition to the standard party fare, traditional candy carts can also be hired, among other novelties.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a fully informative quote for a client's consideration we welcome information on the date, venue (if already booked, location if venue not already secured) celebration or event, times (please use those that are on your invitations, we can ensure being in place and have background music running in advance of any arrivals) indoor / outdoor set up and the number of guests expected. The more information we are provided with will enhance our opportunity to offer a quote befitting of requirements. Are any other forms of entertainment being considered? We are able to provide many items ourselves and courtesy of our networking contacts may be able to offer recommended businesses to provide other services (for your consideration only).
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To ensure peace of mind, always ask your choices available for proof of their Public Liability Insurance and current P.A.T. Certificate (applicable to those who use electrical equipment). Proof of registration as a Food Business and current Hygiene Rating (as issued by FSA) should your request pertain to any item of food. Relevant experience applicable to your celebration/event. Length of time in the business your request is applicable to. Any references/reviews that can been viewed will also be helpful in making your decision.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
With work hard to be attained on leaving school in 1985 I decided to create my own, thus North West Roadshow was established, having spent 2 years putting what funds I could aside. By 1988 North West Roadshow was recognised to have "potential" and was added to Merseyside's largest DJ agency. Since the "early days" we have grown from strength to strength presenting regularly at large chains of hotels in addition to local pubs, social clubs and night clubs. During 1998 - 2005 a relocation to the South Coast saw North West Roadshow become "dormant" whilst presentation took on the name of South Coast Roadshow and traded successfully for the period. In 2005 we returned to "our roots" in Merseyside and North West Roadshow returned to trading. Adding items relating to the "Party Industry" we are once again one of the leading mobile disco / karaoke roadshows in the area.
