What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
It is important to know all the facts. What is the occasion? Where is the venue, is in indoors or outdoors? Ideally how many people are attending. With this information we can quote accurately to provide the correct sound and light for the occasion.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask us what you are looking for. We want your event to run smoothly so we need. Do your research, you get what you pay for. Normally a cheap DJ means a cheap sound system and a lack of experience. Our goal is to provide a professional Disco, with a high quality sound system and intelligent lighting.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
MAX FX Disco has been trading since 1993. (apart from a short break). I started the business when I was DJ in the student union. By doing mobile discos in my spare time I paid my way through university. Since then it has become a major part of my life. It is as much a passion as it is a job. I have a 100% attendance record, fully insured and electrically tested.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I'm fairly new to Add to Event, but the bookings I have had so far have been easy to arrange, I have booked everything from birthday parties to weddings. Even organising one event in Bristol at 24 hours notice. The client was extremely happy that I was able to accommodate her after her DJ cancelled at short notice.
