Lord Bryan Mobile DJ has been deejaying for corporate events, wedding parties, birthdays, proms and themed nights, for many years. Music is the key to making any party successful and he has a wide genre of music to suit all ages.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally we would need a date for the event, the start and finish times and where the event will be taking place. What type of party ie wedding, birthday etc, what type of music is required, perhaps a playlist of 10 songs they would like to hear. How many guests would be attending?

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly ask if the equipment has been PAT tested and if they have pubic liability insurance, this is a requirement by most hotels. See photos of their set-up and ask if they have disco lights. Do they take requests from the guests and are vocal on the microphone, as some DJs don’t talk.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My love for music goes back a long time, I started playing music on hospital radio at the age of 14, playing requests for patients. It’s now decades later and I still love entertaining people with the sound of music and watch them dance the night away. I base my show on requests and from this, I can judge what type of music will keep them on the dance floor.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event was recommended to me by a fellow DJ and the platform has been great. I have met some lovely people and have enjoyed being part of their celebrations. I remember a surprise birthday party, it was so intense waiting for them to arrive, with text messages going backwards and forwards to announce their arrival. It was fantastic when they walked in and I played “Happy Birthday”. The night just got better and better, I felt like I was part of the family.
