What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Events can be different scales, having an understanding of the type of event you need to create enables us to select the right equipment and service for the job. Estimated audience, indoor or outdoor event, venue and type of entertainment to cater for is the best start for your enquiry. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to propose a suitable package.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Talk, after the initial contact via message have a live conversation with any service provider to get a feeling of their attitude, knowledge and passion. This can also work both ways, understanding each other during business negotiations is the key to the most successful events. My relationship with clients has always been a solid foundation for my longevity in this industry.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

In the 90's, sales and hire of music equipment was the start of changing technology and we where good at it. The passion for live sound and event solutions played hand in hand with our knowledge of equipment and how to use it effectively. With the eventual big wide web pulling sales down the natural progression was to provide a hire and operation service in the events industry. Twenty years on providing staging, sound, lighting and power solutions, all from our own stock we still stand strong with the same passion from the start.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has provided us with the opportunity to expand into sectors you would not normally find alone. Our mobile concert staging side of the business has always been the main attraction then providing a package of all our services in one. World Music Festival was one of those enquiries. An outdoor cultural event 2 to 3 thousand attendants with music from across the globe. Our service included an 8m x 6m stage with fully operated sound system and a silent generator with all cable distribution. We are now booked for their next event. With Add to Event being a very popular platform most of the people I know in the industry are already members however, would always recommend them to new comers.
