What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide the most accurate quote we would need the date of the event, a brief explanation of the type of event, whether it be a wedding, birthday, corporate function etc. Also if you know the exact venue and location for the function that would also be beneficial. From this information, we can then construct an accurate and competitive quote for our services.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would firstly ask the provider what services they offer, then if they would provide them for the location that you were looking for. Also ensure that they have the correct insurances and safety certificates for the equipment that they are using and lastly, ask them to provide you with some photos of their recent events so that you can see what the provider can offer and how they operate themselves.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

A1 Photobooths started in 2018 with just one photobooth. We then got extremely busy and decided to add on a set of light-up letters, then a sweet cart and starlit dance floor. During covid-19 we decided to downgrade the amount that we offered and that is why now we only provide photobooths and light-up letters. We wanted to narrow down our product offering to ensure that we can offer the highest level of service and professionalism.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have been very lucky with Add to Event and have had quite a few bookings through this platform. We recently got contacted by a customer and asked us to provide a photobooth with 24 hours notice. We provided them with a price, they were happy with that price and went ahead with the booking. This is what's great about this platform, people who need service providers for their event can get access to a large amount of providers at the drop of a hat which makes organising an event a doddle.
