What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event, the number of guests, the venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event and the style of food and service required. From this, we can use our experience to create a fantastic event, tailored to your specific requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask about other events they have done that are similar to yours. Talk to your supplier and meet them, get a feel for them, make sure you have confidence in them. After 20 years working in hospitality and knowledge gained through travelling and working abroad in hotels, pubs, restaurants, event caterers and even private aviation, Wild Garlic Catering’s creator, Gavin Frampton, made the decision to set out alone. With his team he creates the perfect party, tailored uniquely for you and using the freshest produce from Hampshire. Their flexibility along with slick, friendly service and imaginative food ensures what they deliver on the event day, not only match but exceeds your guest’s expectations.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a constant stream of requests from Add to Event. One particular event took us to a beautiful private house near Winchester for a retirement dinner. We served a selection of canapés, fantastic New Forest Marque Pork main course and a beautiful Hampshire Strawberry cheese cake to finish.

The customer was blown away and we have since taken further bookings from some of the guests who attended the event. I have recommended the site to several friends who run party and event businesses.
