What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote, we need the date of your event, the location, the times in which you would need our staff and the number of staff you think you will need. A description of your event, and the duties you would like the staff to do will also help for us to advise and quote more accurately. From this, we can put together a fully inclusive, competitive quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, I would recommend asking about them as a company and the staff they employ. Are the staff experienced? How many staff does the company have on their books? Do they have insurance? Even what process they have for their staff selection? You want to make sure you are getting experienced and professional staff, that are eager to work and will ensure your event runs smoothly.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started LVE event staff & coordinators with my sister as we saw a gap in the market for experienced staff at an affordable price, for peoples events. With hotels and venues becoming more expensive and with limited choices such as catering etc., people are opting to go for a more DIY approach. This is where we come in. Being in the catering industry for 15 years has not only amounted a wealth of experience and knowledge, it has also enabled us to build an amazing workforce!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Well it's hard to choose just one, as we have had so many great bookings from Add to Event, but one booking was a large one for our little company and it was quite last minute, but we rallied our staff together and got to the event. It was serving more than 200 guests a 4 course meal. It was a great event and our staff worked so hard and well that the organiser then booked us for 4 more events throughout the year. The next one is serving over 400 guests, with more than 20 of our staff!
