What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event, if guests are paying for themselves or if the food will be paid for upfront. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask the provider about the food they are serving if they contain any allergens and where the food is sourced from. Ensure they have a high food hygiene rating and have the correct due diligence paperwork along with relevant insurances.

Hello, I’m Melania, better known as the “Bajan Culinary Queen” to my friends and family.
I established Cropover Kitchen in early 2018 to inspire people to taste and enjoy street food from Barbados. My Grandad originally came from Trinidad, my father was born and brought up in Barbados and my mother came from St Vincent. I was brought up on the flavours and delights of authentic Caribbean foods – Cropover brings these incredible flavours to be enjoyed as I did growing up.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have gained so many bookings through this platform that have enabled me to bring the taste of the Caribbean to their events. I love that I can bring the incredible flavours that I was brought up on to all of the event/party guests to try and enjoy. Add to Event has enabled me to cater to the smallest local birthday party to large corporate events further afield and I love the diversity of the events that add to offers for me to quote on.
Every event is special to us and we enjoy each and everyone we cater for in their own unique ways, the organisers and guests are always amazing and friendly and we love receiving the great feedback about Cropover Kitchen.
