What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We would firstly say thank you for contacting Tuck Truck. For us to provide a fixed price quote we would need the following information. Location of the venue, number of guests, timings and dietary requirements.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Reputation is everything, Word of mouth goes a long way, with so many people in the industry now, there is more and more competition. Double check their reviews and ratings. Ask for their hygiene certificate and whether they require payment up front, most well-established companies will only take payment on the day or at the end of the event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My wife and I have always had the drive and determination to work for a better future and be our own boss. As we have three children we were planning lots of birthdays over the years. I have a very sweet tooth and previously we ran a bouncy castle business, that's when we realised we could do this as a business and then the business was born.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Tuck truck hasn't been on Add to Event long. There are a lot of websites out there for events but we have found this one to be the best as it generates the most leads and is the best user-friendly website we have seen. One of our first events emailed to us was very local. It was a wedding anniversary party and the customer replied quickly and we won the job the same day. We provided a sweet cart for approximately 80 guests. The customer loved it all personalised to their taste and even left us 5-star feedback on the site. I would highly recommend this website to customers and businesses and hopefully, we will be onto our next event very soon.
