What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to be able to provide a comprehensive quote it is important that we know how long we are required for and the type of service they need. For example, our company offers a wide range of services. There are some aspects we don't provide like portrait photography as we are completely mobile and do not have any backdrops.
To us the number of photos we require does not matter because we offer our prices with unlimited photo and video.
So for us a brief explanation of exactly what the event is and what they want the final outcome to be, whether they want a mix of photography and videography and also whether photo and video editing is required.
The number of guests doesn't necessarily matter unless there is a specific request to photo every guest then that would be something we have to consider. For some events it is useful to know if a female photographer is required because we have found that some cultures and religions like a female photographer due to their traditions prior to their wedding, because this is something we can provide.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We would like a very specific description of what the customer wants and then what their final outcome is. A worst and a best case scenario is sometimes good because based on budget there is always an area that we can compromise in to provide the best quality of service that we can.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Byron is a professional drone pilot, Caroline studied photography at an early age so we both have a passion for photography. We originally started as a Drone Business but then soon decided to dip our toes in the water with photography. We trialled events and found we had amazing feedback so decided to completely diversify the business by offering very competitive quotes but providing an extremely high quality of work.
