As I provide overall coverage what is important is to determine the length and content of the videos that will showcase the event. What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think it's important for the client to have an easy rapport with the videographer as they will be followed closely all day. If the client is relaxed and trusting of the videographers work they can let go and enjoy the day. Often there are sudden changes to the plan of the day and being able to improvise around these with fun and creative inspiration adds to great video content and ultimately happy clients.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I've always enjoyed photography and as a musician, I have always enjoyed the psychological response we have to music that affects us. Videography gives me the chance to combine both these talents in the cinematic approach I take of the wedding day. I can film all day. I love that sense of freedom to film people and find visual stimulating footage as the wedding unfolds. During the edit when dealing with the sound - from speeches, the backing tracks - I can engage my experience in music to come up with a satisfying blend of the visual content with appropriate and moving soundscapes.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Due to the pandemic and lockdown, my first booking for a wedding has been postponed until next year. I look forward to more bookings with Add to Event in the future.
