What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Diamond Days Events to provide the best quote possible it is paramount I have a budget to work with, a number of guests, colour scheme plus the date of the event and their chosen venue.
I am always happy to source the venue as I have many places that I deal with.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would check out the competition but advise clients that because something is cheap it is not always the best option, if you scout around and talk to the supplier you should get a feel for them, it is always worth checking out their business social media pages.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Diamond Days Events was born 2 years ago, having been in the wedding and events industry for over 35 years I was often told to "go it alone" having been made redundant and 'getting on in life' most companies didn't want an over 50-year-old working for them, especially one that is old school and has certain values about how to deal with clients.
I did my first wedding on my own in 2017 and have gone from strength to strength, I organised over 30 weddings alone last year I am on target for 30 this year having done one abroad and already set for 20 in 2020 and 6 for 2021, so I made the right move and went alone. To create a dream wedding it is about what your couple requires and not about the money!
I self-taught to build myself a website, use Facebook for business and Instagram, something many years ago I did not have to do.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Diamond Days Events organized a beautiful wedding for a lovely couple that contacted me through Add to Event, what started off as a small booking gradually grew as they realized I could offer them a lot more.
They gave me a wonderful review and through them, I have obtained a lot more business. The guest was extremely happy with the day and the couple made me feel like one of the family.
It was a lovely day and I was honoured to have been a big part of it.
