What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We offer an extensive range of products and services, so to confirm availability and coverage area we would ask for the venue and the date of the event with a few further basic details such as the timings and function suite. Having been in the event industry for over 10 years, we know and have worked at many local venues and can often offer personalised advice on suitable products and services for each specific venue. We can provide both a quick quote or a comprehensive package by using the price builder available on our website.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience is key when hiring a professional wedding DJ. Look for confidence, approachability and knowledge. A professional wedding DJ has the ability to conduct your music during the ceremony, confidently make announcements throughout the wedding breakfast and evening reception, host the cake cutting and first dance perfectly and offer lots of tips and tricks, so work with them in the planning meetings to personalise your day. When the evening comes around, be confident in the knowledge that your specialist wedding DJ will already know so much about you, that those special tunes you planned will bring the dancefloor alive, not by chance but because your DJ mixed them in knowing they were special.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Fondly referred to as #teamsugar - The Sugar Promotions family are based in Kent and lovingly and carefully managed by husband and wife team, Andy & Jo Gooding. Established since 2009, Sugar Promotions was born out of Andy's passion for his career as a wedding DJ & Master of Ceremonies and Jo's background in managing Events. Our mission at Sugar Promotions is to create a fun, memorable and exciting special day for our couples and their guests. We aim to do this by providing excellent customer service, Fantastic wedding entertainment, and beautiful hire products. We make the booking and planning process easy and work alongside a range of fantastic partner hotels and wedding venues.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
As a fairly recently listed supplier on the platform, we have future confirmed events in the diary that we are really looking forward to. A larger event that stands out is for a future Wedding at a venue right by the sea in Kent, where we are now also a recommended supplier based on everything our client has told the venue about us already. With a guestlist of 200 in Autumn 2021, we are providing an exciting range on products and services including a our Wedding DJ package with Starlit Dancefloor, A Magic Mirror Photobooth, 3mx3m White Flower Wall, Neon Happily Ever After Sign, Light Up LOVE letters, Indoor Fireworks and Dancing on Clouds.
